Training for you and your horse

Specializing in Dressage:

Let me show you and your horse how to become confident in the basics of Dressage and shine in the show ring.

The art of Dressage starts with Rhythm and Suppleness, often this is the missing foundation necessary for a pleasant ride and necessary for you and your horse to succeed to the next level (no matter what level that is).  Connection with the horse both mentally and physically through your seat, legs and reins is essential before adding Impulsion.  Impulsion is more of whatever you have.  If you have a tight, tense horse or a tight tense rider, this only becomes more apparent when adding Impulsion.  Likewise, if you have Relaxation, amplitude and swing, these qualities also become amplified when adding Impulsion.  Straightness is helped with the introduction of shoulder-in, but starts from the beginning of you and your horse’s riding career just by basic steering, correct use of the aids, and working in both directions equally.  Collection is achieved once the horse is strong enough in it’s correct basics to offer more to the rider.
